Senior Cycle Consultation
Welcome to the consultation on senior cycle. Over the coming year we will be looking for your views on a range of developments for senior cycle. These will include some new subjects, some more familiar ones that have been reviewed and some sample short courses. We would also like to hear what you think about what is important about senior cycle and how best to introduce changes to curriculum and assessment.
The first syllabus that we have for consideration is politics and society which will be a new subject at senior cycle. In order to show how the syllabus might be communicated in the classroom, some examples of teaching and learning approaches in Politics and Society have been prepared. The examples chosen show one way in which one of the topics of the syllabus (Topic 10: Perspectives on Development) could be taught.
