Intercultural Education
NCCA gratefully acknowledges the support of the Minister for Integration for the web publication of Intercultural Education in the Primary School and the development of support materials.
Introduction
An intercultural education is valuable to all students in equipping them to participate in an increasingly diverse society.
The NCCA has published guidelines on intercultural education in primary and post-primary schools.
These guidelines provide guidance for teachers and school management on
mediating the curriculum in a way that reflects cultural diversity
making the curriculum as accessible as possible for children from ethnic minority groups
enhancing the intercultural experience of all pupils
creating an inclusive school culture.
Some of the learning activities are accompanied by classroom videos which can be accessed directly by clicking on the link below
